RAL colour forecast 2026

At the end of September, we attended a virtual event hosted by RAL. The event was detailing the colour forecast for 2026. In this post, we are looking at two of the colour stories shown; fresh and emotive. We are also going to be looking at the key colours for 2026 and how to use them together. Research such as this is so important to us as product designers; allowing us to stay on trend with commercial colour combinations.

Colour story 1 - Fresh

As the name suggests, this colour story is all about light and bright, bordering on cool colours. The use of AI to turn the palette and theme into a digital painting helps you to get the essence of the palette. We have taken the colours for this story and linked it to our carpet tile colours in the image below.

Colour story 2 - Emotive

A direct response to the advancement and inclusion of technology in our everyday lives, emotive is about reconnecting and celebrating all that is human. Emotion, touch, feeling, belonging. Our carpet tile colours reflect this story so well, in a vibrant but subtle collection of hues.

Key colours

These six colours are the epitome of the 2026 forecast from RAL. Again, paired with out carpet tiles to give us some new and exciting ways to combine product and colour!
